Pete Lawson knows a thing or two about good storytelling.
Since 2008 he has been part of the core writing team of Eastenders, penning over 250 explosive episodes. With other 30 years’ experience as a screenwriter and playwright, he created and wrote primetime drama series Being April and has written for Casualty and London Bridge.
As well as authoring TV screenplays Drive and Sweet, and short film The Act, he’s written over 20 plays for adults and children, including work for the National Theatre Studio, Sheffield Hallam University, Goldsmiths, the BBC Writers Academy and New Writing South.
He also chairs Brighton’s young people’s writing and mentoring charity, Little Green Pig.
