Julia Cove-Smith is the founder women’s football kit brand Eleven as One. Previously CEO of Emma Bridgewater, she’s also worked in marketing and business development roles at Waterstones and WHSmith.
Julia is passionate about youth sport and community engagement, with a particular interest in helping young people – especially girls – remain actively involved in sport through their teenage years. She’s a sports youth worker, manages a Sunday League Under-18 Girls’ team, and chairs the London Football Association.
Sport and business have more in common than we often think – and it’s not just about hitting goals and outsmarting the opposition.
But when it comes to leadership, culture, innovation, purpose and performance, there’s plenty that each side can learn from the other.
In this session, Julia and Sam, along with chair Karen Dobres, will discuss ideas that translate beyond the pitch and into the boardroom, and vice versa.
