At a time when immigration is firmly in the headlines, recent changes to law and policy have increased the risks for people fleeing persecution.

Leila Zadeh was herself a refugee who came to the UK with her family when she was just 13 months old. She’s worked for international charities, and for the past six years she’s fronted Rainbow Migration, a charity which supports LGBTQI+ people through the immigration and asylum system.

Leila will talk about her own journey and the challenges facing LGBTQI+ people in the headlines, plus how she’s grown the charity’s income, services and campaigning to deal with this.
