Crafting a dream: The journey of a young inclusive entrepreneur

-

At just 18, award-winning entrepreneur Khamani Edwards has built a business with a big mission: to make creativity accessible for every child.

Living with dystonia, a neurological condition affecting mobility, Khamani has made accessibility central to KJ’s Craft Time. His craft boxes – a lockdown idea, offering a hands-on, imaginative outlet for children in a time of isolation and increased screen use – also have a Special Education Needs (SEN) Range with adaptive tools.

In this afternoon speaker session at Brighton Summit, Khamani will share the real story behind the business. From a lockdown idea to building partnerships with schools, running workshops and rebranding for growth – all alongside the challenge of balancing studies with entrepreneurship.

Hear how this young entrepreneur has put inclusion at the heart of his work, and how that work in turn helps young people to embrace creativity, turn challenges into opportunities, and believe their impact can reach far beyond their circumstances.
