One of the UK’s most decorated service designers in the field of social change and recipient of over 15 design awards in 8 years, Judah Armani has led initiatives tackling homelessness, prison reform, and probation. He’s the author of Society Driven Design and a regular lecturer at leading design schools around the world, including in Barcelona, Shanghai and Glasgow.
Judah’s work ranges from shaping place-based probation services with the Ministry of Justice to ABC F.C., a football club designed as a platform for social integration and change. His projects include Away From Home, helping refugees connect with local communities, and Crossbar, a prison entrepreneurship programme.
He’s also the founder of InHouse Records – an award-winning record label operating inside UK and US prisons to support rehabilitation through creativity and entrepreneurship. Judah’s work is all about questioning assumptions, shifting perspectives and creating lasting change where it’s needed most.
What if you’ve been solving the wrong problems?
Most of us are pretty good at fixing things once we know what’s broken. But what if the real challenge is spotting the problem before it trips you up? Or questioning if it’s even the problem at all?
In this session, Judah Armani will flip the usual approach to problem-solving on its head. Drawing on his experience working in prisons, schools, the NHS and local government, he’ll explore how slowing down and challenging assumptions helps uncover the real issues holding you – and your business – back.
This is about rethinking how you spot challenges, ask better questions, and stop fixing the obvious problem just because it’s the one in front of you.
If you’re leading a business, growing a team, or trying to shift how you work, this session is your invitation to pause, take a step back, and see your challenges in a whole new way.
